Präbiotika
Präbiotika sind unverdauliche Nahrungsbestandteile, die durch Bakterien im Darm verstoffwechselt werden. Dies fördert das Wachstum der „guten Bakterien“ und unterstützt somit die Aufrechterhaltung einer gesunden Darmflora. Sie dienen nützlichen Darmbakterien als Nahrung und Begleiten damit eine ausgewogene Darmflora. Wichtige Gruppen von präbiotischen Nahrungsbestandteilen sind u.a. Fructo-Oligosaccharide (FOS) sowie Inulin.
Postbiotika
Postbiotika sind inaktivierte oder nicht-lebende Bakterien (oder Hefestämme). „Post“ bedeutet so viel wie „nach dem Leben“, was deutlich macht, dass die Mikroorganismen nicht mehr am Leben sind. Dabei gibt es verschiedene Postbiotika, die alle unterschiedlich eingesetzt werden können und in verschiedenen Bereichen hoch geschätzte Eigenschaften aufweisen.
Tyndallisierte Bakterien
Tyndallisierte Bakterien sind durch Wärmebehandlung gewonnene mikrobielle (=aus Mikroben bestehend) Zellen. Die Tyndallisation ist ein etabliertes Verfahren zur Keimreduktion von hitzeempfindlichen Stoffen, ohne so hohe Temperaturen wie beim Sterilisieren anzuwenden. Beim Tyndallisieren werden die Bakterien zuerst auf maximal 100 °C erwärmt und dann für längere Zeit auf rund 30 °C abgekühlt. Im Ergebnis werden intakte, nicht lebensfähige mikrobielle Zellen erhalten. Die gesamte Zellstruktur der Bakterien behält dabei ihre gewünschten Eigenschaften. Die inaktiven Mikroorganismen der Bakterien können die Vitalität deines Vierbeiners begleiten.
Lactobacillus Helveticus
Das Bakterium Lactobacillus Helveticus ist resistent gegen Verdauungssäfte und -enzyme sowie Gallensäuren und deshalb besonders gut für die Tyndallisation geeignet. Als Postbiotika tragen sie zum Erhalt einer ausgewogenen Darmflora bei.
Grünlippmuschel
Grünlippmuschel enthält wichtige Omega-3-FettsäurenGlykosaminoglykane – für die Begleitung eines stabilen Bindegewebes

Vitamin B und Vitamin E sind essenziele Nährstoffe die über die Nahrung aufgenommen werden müssen.
