They detoxify the water and protect against unsightly algae through nutrient competition. So they are the basis for a self-cultivating aquarium.
In order for them to complete this important task to the fullest, the plants must grow healthy and vigorous. A coordinated fertiliser system closes nutrient gaps, CO2 supply has never been so easy. The sera plant care palette creates an environment in which plants like to grow.

Plant care with system
The innovative sera plant care system meets the needs of aquarium plants in an optimal way. The coordinated system, consisting of two basic fertilisers and four system fertilisers, allows precise, uncomplicated and flexible supply of plants without unnecessarily contaminating the water.

sera floredepot – basis for successful plant care
sera floredepot is given under the actual aquarium gravel when rearranging the aquarium.
The balanced blend of sand, peat, essential nutrients and trace elements allows for rapid growth of plants and supply of plants during the growth phase (4-6 weeks).
The special structure of the base promotes the formation of strong roots in the aquarium gravel.
Sera soil heating set – particularly safe thanks to low voltage technology.
Computer controlled floor heating for freshwater aquariums
In combination with a heating rod, this floor heater ensures water movement in the ground thanks to a temperature gradient (1-2°C temperature difference between floor and water). As a result, nutrients are transported to the plant roots, prevents the formation of digestion zones and the substrate is used as an additional filter.
The control computer allows exact setting of the desired temperature, a temperature probe measures the actual temperature.

The feed is produced, bottled and shipped to the dealers at the company’s headquarters in Heinsberg. Usually only a few days pass between production and arrival at the pet store. The new sera basic care products provide the plants with all important minerals such as potassium, trace elements – such as manganese – but also with UV-stable iron, which is available for plants for longer in aquariums with UV clarifier.
