JBL PRONOVO FIL
Red mosquito larvae are the ideal food for strengthening fish. Mosquito larvae sometimes occur masses and form a main food basis in nature for many fish species. They are not the larvae of mosquitoes (Culicidae) Ideally, you will find a main food for your ornamental fish, e.g. PRONOVO BEL and complements it with a second main lining such as PRONOVO COLOR. To do this, you can change treats and supplements such as Pronovo Spirulina or Pronovo Fil, Fex, Daph, or Artemio. This ensures a varied diet of the well-groomed fish.
Which fish eat red mosquito larvae?
There is hardly any freshwater fish that does not eat red mosquito larvae, unless they are too big for its mouth (e.g. for neon salmler). East African cichlids from Lake Malawi and Tanganyika should never be fed with red mosquito larvae! For unknown reasons, they do not tolerate them. White or black mosquito larvae are no problems.
Lining size – mouth size
Lining size/mouth size: It may sound banal, but it is important that the food size fits the mouth size of the fish. Not all fish are able to bite off larger chunks of food. The fish size that fits the feed size is on all JBL food cans at the bottom left on the front of the labels.
