Species-appropriate and easy to digest
JBL PRONOVO FEX
Tubifex are part of the natural food spectrum of many ornamental fish that search the soil for food. The 15-85 mm long tubifex live in the soil and the blood dye haemoglobin leads to their red colour as long as they live. During the freeze-drying process, the red colour disappears. Unlike live and frost food, there is no risk of dragging diseases or unwanted bacteria into the aquarium. The JBL PRONOVO FEX „Brocken“ swim on the water surface because of their buoyancy. The fish can bite smaller chunks there. Alternatively, you can press the chunks in the water a little, so that their buoyancy is reduced.
Lining size – mouth size
It may sound banal, but it is important that the food size fits the mouth size of the fish. Not all fish are able to bite off larger chunks of food. The fish size that fits the feed size is on all JBL food cans at the bottom left on the front of the labels.
Extended menu
To expand the menu of ornamental fish, a supplement of the main feed with freeze-dried foods is highly recommended. For this purpose, the following types of feed are available: JBL PRONOVO DAPH (water fleas), JBL PRONOVO ARTEMIO (brine crabs), JBL PRONOVO FEX (tubifex/stream tube worms), JBL PRONOVO FIL (red mosquito larvae).

High-quality raw materials
JBL uses a special vacuum freeze-drying process in which the feed animals are dried so gently in the vacuum that the valuable ingredients are preserved. No cheap fish meal is processed during production. The optimal, balanced feed mixtures made from high-quality ingredients are created by the results of JBL research expeditions and the knowledge of the JBL research and development team.
