Extensive control of water values in the aquarium
Test case for the most important water values in freshwater aquariums with iron test
With the JBL Test Combi Set, you can easily and accurately determine the six most important water values of your aquarium. With the pH test, the acidity of the water can be determined. The KH test is used to determine the carbonate hardness, i.e. the pH stability of the water. Toxic nitrogen compound (nitrite) can be determined using the NO2 test, while the NO3 test gives you information about the nitrate value and thus the cause of algae. With the Fe test, the iron value can be determined for fertiliser control. To determine the CO2 content, measuring pH and KH is sufficient. These two values result in the CO2 content of the water, which can then be taken from the enclosed table.
The correct water values in the aquarium depend on the fish stock and the existing plants. Even if the water looks clear, it can be strained. If there are poor values, diseases or algae can form in the aquarium. For a healthy aquarium with natural conditions, regular control and adjustment of the water values is important.

This „small test case“ contains the most important water tests for an analysis of pond water with log sheets, syringe and dosing spoon for easy measurement of the correct amount of water and test fluid, colour plates for comparing the resulting colours in the tests and test fluids, comparator block and cuvettes for performing the tests.
Safe storage
Thanks to the waterproof plastic case, safe storage of the test bottles and accessories is ensured. In the further developed test cases, even the inner parts, in which all test bottles and cuvettes can be safely placed in recesses, have been optimised in contrast to the previous model. For added safety in children, the case contains only child-safe reagent bottles.
Water tests now even better
Scientists, aquarists, pond lovers and especially those who need reliable water tests correctly display water tests use JBL water tests. Over the years, suggestions for improvements have been made again and again that the JBL development team has collected and now implemented. This starts with the folding boxes, on which pictograms immediately show whether the test is suitable for freshwater, sea water and/or pond. These pictograms are repeated on the colour bars of the colour cards on which recommended areas can be read.
